In 1985, a little girl named Crystin, accidentally put shaving gel on her dad’s shaver, unknowingly giving him the best shave ever!
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are introducing the first and only electric shaver designed for us, by us (people that shave). The urgent necessity to address an ever-present cosmetic and medical problem that exists in most Black or African-American males, and most people of color all over the world – who shave.
The condition is known as Pseudofolliculitis Barbae or commonly known as razor bumps and razor burns. The condition begins at the very early stages of teenage years – around 17 or 18, when we first think about shaving.
One sad, but common fact, is that sometimes there may not be someone available to give the right advice and that may be because the person giving the advice is not aware of any alternative method of shaving.
This leads to a lot of guess work AND THE MYTH THAT BLACK MEN CANNOT USE AN ELECTRIC SHAVER BECAUSE OF INGROWN HAIR.
To prevent razor bumps and razor burns, the right shaving device is essential in the beginning, because the skin tissue will adapt to what is initially used. For example, if you start out with something that is harsh on the skin, it will destroy certain skin tissue. Using the correct device from the start is very important in preventing many years of pain and itching.
Razor Bumps begin as the naturally curly hair follicles turn back into the skin, sometimes into the same pore that is already occupied by an outgrowing hair follicle. This leads to inflammation.
